Part I: Take the Expressway: Appealing Interlocutory Decisions Before a Final Order
Speaker: Peter S. Askin
This CLE course will cover the options available to litigants to appeal interlocutory circuit court decisions before a final order. Specifically, the three areas discussed include the basics of Virginia appellate procedure and landscape, methods and options to pursue interlocutory appeals to the CAV, and methods and options to pursue interlocutory appeals to the SCV for immunity and injunction decisions.
Part II: Seizing your Opportunity: Tips on Delivering Oral Argument on Appeal
Speaker: John P. O’Herron
Oral argument is a critical part of appellate success. Knowing your case and preparing for the Court’s questions and concerns can be a time-consuming and stressful endeavor. Come as we demystify oral arguments and offer tips for how to prepare efficiently and thoroughly.
