Young Lawyers

The Young Lawyers Section of the Richmond Bar provides an opportunity for networking and professional development for young and newly admitted attorneys. The section is open to members who are under 40 years of age or who have been a member of the Virginia State Bar for five years or less regardless of their age.

The Richmond Bar Association’s Young Lawyers Section is excited to continue its partnership with the Richmond Forum’s Speech & Debate Initiative to provide volunteer support to local K-12 speech and debate programs. Due in part to the generous donations and support from the YLS, we were able to donate over 100 articles of clothing to 3 local high schools.

Due to this success and growing interest, the Forum has decided to more formally launch and lead its clothing drive this year!

If you are interested in donating professional clothing, sponsoring a student in need, or otherwise supporting local speech and debate, please review the attached flyer from the Forum then reach out to Andrew Landrum ( to discuss.

Whether performing community service at Feed More or renewing body and mind at a group wellness activity, the YLS remained active during the summer of COVID

YLS members answered legal questions from the public during NBC Channel 12’s “Call 12”
