Here’s how it works:
- Join any time after March 1st and don’t pay application fees until June 1st, the start of the new Bar year (June 1, 2025 – May 31, 2026).
- During this grace period, you’ll be added to our mailing list, receive notifications about upcoming events, and attend events at the member rate.
To take advantage of this offer, simply fill out the membership application and email it to Sharon Potter at spotter@richmondbar.org. You’ll be billed for the application fee on June 1st.

Membership in the Richmond Bar Association is open to attorneys who are admitted to practice in the bar of a state, territory, or possession of the United States (click here for membership types). the association also offers a non-voting membership to law students. The application fee covers membership for the bar year June 1, 2024- May 31, 2025.
