General District Court: How the Recent Changes Can Impact Your Case

Legislative changes have reshaped the General District Court. This CLE presentation features a panel discussion focusing on how the increased jurisdictional limit and other changes can impact decisions on where to file cases, the ability to remand Circuit Court cases to General District Court, and decisions to appeal cases from General District Court. This CLE is intended for new lawyers and lawyers who may need a refresher on the finer points of General District Court practice. Panelists are: the Honorable Matthew D. Nelson, Chief General District Court Judge Chesterfield/Colonial Heights (12th district), Brendan O’Toole, Partner, at Williams Mullen and Peter Heindel, Managing Attorney, Midland Credit Management, Inc.

$75 for members ($85 after October 7)
