“Best Practices in Consumer & Commercial Bankruptcy”

The Bankruptcy Section will host a virtual CLE seminar on Tuesday, October 20, 2020 beginning at 12:30 pm. Panelists Kathryn Montgomery, Assistant Unites States Trustee for the Eastern District of VA, Richmond Division, Jennifer West, Chapter 7 Trustee and Shareholder at Spotts Fain, and Amanda DeBerry Koehn, Shareholder at Boleman Law Firm, P.C., will discuss the best practices for attorneys representing debtors, creditors, Trustees, and other participants in the bankruptcy system. Focusing on reputable practice, and forging a positive reputation with fellow practitioners and the Court, these panelists will shed a positive light on what attorneys are doing right. The panelists will incorporate how utilizing ethical practices and having high standards for professional responsibility help attorneys maintain a bustling practice. It is anticipated that the program will be approved for 1.0 hour of live, interactive MCLE ethics credit.

The CLE is free for Section members and personnel from the U.S. Bankruptcy Court, U.S. Trustee’s office and Clerk’s office, but reservations are required; RSVP to spotter@richmondbar.org to receive your Zoo invitation. The non-Section member rate is $30.
