Bankruptcy Section Luncheon/CLE

The Bankruptcy Section will host a luncheon/CLE seminar on Tuesday, October 18, 2022 beginning at 12:30 p.m. at the Hilton Hotel, 501 E. Broad Street, Richmond, VA 23219. The program will feature a presentation by the Hon. Frank J. Santoro of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court, and Veronica Brown-Moseley of Boleman Law. The presentations “The Ethical Implications of Implicit Bias and the Practice of Bankruptcy Law”, will focus on the ethical implications of implicit bias and an attorney’s ability to competently and diligently practice bankruptcy law. Specifically, the panel will explore recent studies on bankruptcy law and bias, the potential ethical harms associated with implicit bias, and practical solutions to reduce the impact of implicit bias in bankruptcy law.

This program has been approved for 1.0 hour of MCLE ethics credit

Time: 12:30-2:00 p.m.
Location: Hilton Hotel, Richmond
Cost: $30 for section members and government rate; $45 for non-section members
