The Corporate Counsel Section provides a medium for corporate attorneys to cooperate with each other on issues common to them. The section is open to those employed as a full-time salaried employee by a corporation or by a government body regularly engaged in corporate-related matters. Annual section dues are $20. Purpose of the Peer Exchange: Regular one hour meetings designed to facilitate small group discussion among counsel engaged in corporate in-house legal or compliance settings and to exchange ideas, issues or solutions to current shared challenges. 

TOPIC:  Managing Outside Counsel in Transaction Matters

Suggested Discussion Ideas: 

  • Identifying      the right local counsel
  • Staffing      for large versus small matters
  • Creative      fee arrangements
  • On-boarding      new counsel

Because this is a free exchange of ideas without a set program/presenter, no CLE credit is available.

Corporate Counsel Section Annual Meeting – May 8, 2014

The Corporate Counsel Section of the Richmond Bar Association will hold its Annual Meeting beginning at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 8, 2014 at the Willow Oaks Country Club, 6228 Forest Hill Avenue, Richmond, Virginia 23225.  Matt Thornhill, President, Boomer Project and Generations Matter, will present “2020 Game Plan: What Tomorrow’s Winners Should Be Doing Today.”
