Corporate Counsel Section
The Corporate Counsel Section provides a medium for corporate attorneys to cooperate with each other on issues common to them. The section is open to those employed as a full-time salaried employee by a corporation or by a government body regularly engaged in corporate-related matters. Annual section dues are $20 in addition to being a member of the Richmond Bar Association. JOIN
CLE Seminar – February 18, 2016
The Corporate Counsel Section will host a CLE program from 4:00 -5:00 p.m. followed by a reception from 5:00 – 6:00 p.m. The program will feature a presentation by Thomas E. Spahn, Esq. of McGuireWoods entitled “The Attorney Client Privilege and the Work Product Doctrine: Basic Principles and 2016 Developments and Trends.” This CLE program will explore an important legal doctrine all lawyers should understand — the attorney client privilege. The program will also address the separate but related work product doctrine protection. There will be a specific focus on new trends and updates for 2016, with a focus on developments for in house counsel. It is anticipated that this program will be approved by the VA MCLE Board for 1.0 hour of ethics credit. The event is open only to members of the Corporate Counsel Section and is free of charge but you must register by contacting Anne-Marie Anderson at firstname.lastname@example.org. The event will be held at McGuireWoods, Gateway Plaza, 800 E. Canal Street.
